History of the Iowa Rush College Combine

A major goal of Iowa Rush is to provide resources to those players who have the ambition of playing soccer at the collegiate level. To that end, the Iowa Rush College combine was created in 2012 to annually give high-school age players within the club exposure to coaches from colleges and universities throughout Iowa and surrounding states.

The 2013 event had over 60 boys and girls participate from Iowa Rush and other clubs throughout the state of Iowa. Last year brought increased visibility for players from 16 collegiate coaches in attendance which doubled the number from the inaugural event. Schools from Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri and Nebraska were represented.

Feedback after the 2013 event was extremely positive. Coaches consistently mentioned the standard of play, facilities and organization as key contributors to creating a worthwhile experience for them. Based on this, the Iowa Rush coaching staff is excited about the future of this event and is confident that it will continue to grow as a winter destination for schools looking to recruit quality student-athletes.
