Select Program
The Iowa Rush Select Program is a comprehensive approach to developing players and teams. We have a progressive, tangible Player Development Philosophy that is ball-focused, player-centered and age-appropriate. Coaches are guided by a methodology that is sport-based and educationally sound, with age group guidelines, training foci, and curriculum based on national and international concepts appropriate for each age. Tournament selection, scrimmages and league play are selected with ability, gender, travel distance, club goals and collegiate exposure in mind based on each age group.

- Players are selected through tryouts process held in May & June (mandated by the Iowa Soccer Association)

Select Fees, include coaching expenses, tournament entry and access to all programming offered weekly.

What is included in my fees?
COACHING
- Training Sessions (average of 60 practices annually for U11-U14 teams)
- Game Management (games are staffed with licensed professional coaches)
- Formal Written/Oral Evaluations (twice a year at the end of fall and spring season)
- Individual Player Meetings (average 2 per player with or without parents)
- Team Meetings (average 8 per team, pre-season, post-season, at tournaments etc.)
- Communication (weekly emails, assessments etc)
TOURNAMENT ENTRY & COACHING EXPENSES
- U11-U14 will attend 6 tournaments
- U15-U18 Nike will attend 3-4 tournaments (attendance at 1-2 College Showcase Events)
- U15-U18 Swoosh will attend 2-3 tournaments (possible attendance at a College Showcase Event)
EQUIPMENT/SUPPLIES
FACILITIES (Prairie Ridge, office space)
ADMINISTRATIVE and FEES (insurance, registration, rosters, player cards, league fees)
VOLUNTEER FEE - The $20 per season Volunteer Fee is included in the player fees. Parents/Guardians will still be given the opportunity to volunteer and be reimbursed $20 per player per season.

Select Camp and Training Membership
Select camps and winter training will be offered through Select Camp and Training Membership fees. These membership fees are applicable to the 2011-2012 Season (August 1, 2011 – July 31, 2012).Registration
- Registration for the Select Camp and Training Membership runs July 5th – August 15th.
- If you do not register by August 15th, 2011; you would need to pay for each camp and winter training separately at each individual price.
Benefits of Membership
- Inclusive Fee - An inclusive fee allows players to have access to Iowa Rush camps and winter training for one fee. With an overall savings of cost over signing up for each individual camp throughout the year.
- Priority Registrations - Membership will provide the ability to register for camps and winter training prior to the registration being available to the Iowa Rush Select players without a Membership. Registration for camps and winter training is still required and my son/daughter will not be able to participate without registration for each camp or training session. You will not be charged additionally for each camp since you will be paying the “package” fee, registration confirms attendance in each camp/ training session.

Camps
Many of our camps have a limited number of spaces so registration will still be required. Camps may include - Camp of Champions, Pro-Elite, Future Stars, Cheeky Monkey, Academy of Dreams, etc.
Winter Indoor Sessions
Indoor space is difficult to reserve and for cost reasons we only want to reserve and pay for what we need, so registration will be required, though you will not be charged additionally if you select a membership level package..
Programming
Programming is available to all select players as a part of their general select fees. Iowa Rush offers more than 50 different training opportunities during the year. Membership and registration is not required for Select players.
Training:
Team Training occurs 2-4 times a week during the Fall and Spring seasons with additional optional Programming for those looking for more training.

Leagues:
Iowa Premier Soccer League (IPSL) schedules will be posted at http://www.iowasoccer.org/ipsl/schedule.php
Older and eligible teams compete in the Midwest Regional League (MRL), while all other teams compete in the Iowa Premier Soccer League (IPSL).
Tournaments:
U11-U14 age groups: 3 Fall tournaments and 3 spring tournaments
U15-U18 age groups: 2-3 Fall tournaments and possibly 1-2 college search events (previous showcases have included but not limited to; CASL Raleigh Showcase, OFC Indoor Showcase and Las Vegas College Showcase to name a few).
Uniforms:
The official Iowa Rush uniform consists of two jerseys, two shorts and two pairs of socks. The supplier is EuroSport. Please contact your team manager for information about purchasing uniforms. Nike Sponsored game packages and Training Uniforms required with numerous additional gear options based on player preference available. Please view the separate Uniform Documents to see uniform images.

All select uniforms are on a two year cycle. A uniform numbering system has been established to allow for sharing of players from one age group to another.
- Girls >> Order Form Select uniforms have changed for the 2011-2012 season. All girls players (with the exception of the U17-U18 girls) will need to purchase the new uniform style. There may also be a couple of girls’ teams who will need to adjust their group numbering.
- Boys >> Order Form Select uniforms are the same for 2011-2012.
- Training Gear- All training gear remains the same for 2011-2012.

Additional uniform fittings will be available at the following times at the Iowa Rush Office: (Iowa Rush Soccer Office- 309 N. Ankeny Blvd. Ankeny, IA 50021)- Wednesday, July 13th 6:00 – 7:30 pm
Ordering Information
Recommended uniform ordering deadlines are as follows:
U11-U13 age groups – July 1st
U14-U18 age groups – July 15th
Orders and payments must be received in the Rush office by the suggested deadline for the age group to be included in the order for delivery prior to the beginning of the season. Orders and payments can be mailed OR delivered at the office during office hours or during fittings (times below).
